LATEST COVID VACCINE INFORMATION IN OUR BLOG AND LINKS
We need to continue to be vigilant in our fight against Coronavirus.
Measures such as social distancing , frequent hand washing and wearing masks on public transport are still important for preventing outbreaks. We have removed some chairs in our waiting room and there is space outside to wait if desired.
It is still very important to isolate and have a COVID test if you have any COVID symptoms especially cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, fever or other respiratory symptoms.
Older people and people with chronic disease such as heart disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, hypertension and cancer are at higher risk of the more severe forms of the illness. We are now seeing most patients face to face so we would like to reduce any risk , especially to these patients.
Do not come to the practice if you have any COVID symptoms . We can arrange a telehealth appointment to discuss your management .
Our staff may be wearing protective equipment such as masks. Please do not be alarmed, we are aiming to stay well so as to be able to continue to provide you with health services throughout the Coronavirus outbreak.
Just to remind you, please call in advance if you have cough, fever, shortness of breath or any upper respiratory symptoms.. Thank you to everyone for your cooperation.
.
If you have respiratory symptoms please book a telehealth appointment. Cost will be Private billing $80 - $125 depending on time taken. The normal medicare rebate will apply. Limited bulk billing is available under specific Medicare criteria (not everyone will be eligible). We are offering this option to patients who are normally bulk billed ; ie Pensioners.
If you have an existing appointment you wish to convert to a phone appointment, please do give our receptionists a call -93136566. We can also do Care plans (Mental health or Chronic disease) over the phone. In general , we now prefer to see patients face to face , however for some appointments eg new routine prescriptions and referrals , a telehealth appointment may be appropriate.
